For 25 years and counting, Dobies Healthcare Group has been on the cutting edge of healthcare marketing, branding and advertising. Carol Dobies, MBA, founded our firm in 1992 (then d.b.a. Dobies & Healthcare Associates, Inc.) because she knew she could take healthcare marketing to the next level with a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking.
At a time when it was typical for agencies to “get a new client, hire new people – lose a client, fire people,” Carol chose to build the company in a healthier direction by creating a virtual agency. Among the first in the industry to embrace the virtual model, Dobies Healthcare Group maintained a very small team of in-house healthcare marketing experts, while strategically extending capabilities and reach through a national network of highly skilled independent associates.
This forward-thinking strategy unlocked a wide array of marketing, branding and advertising services – all with much lower overhead than most agencies could even dream about. Working with consultants across the country and carefully matching expertise to project needs enabled us to deliver better end products at lower-than-market rates and faster-than-average turnaround times – and that’s how we still deliver today.
As our client base expanded, so did we. In 1995 we formed a strategic partnership with Widick Marketing (now known as Group 3 Solutions) to share staff, specialized expertise, office space and other resources. In 2000 we launched a collaborative, healthcare-focused digital and search engine marketing division. We continued to find success with the partnership model and further expanded our strategic and creative capabilities by adding new partners aligned with client needs. The innovation behind our partnerships comes to life when clients need our full breadth of strategy, creative and digital expertise.
Complementing our core healthcare marketing staff are several strategic and analytic healthcare experts who joined our team as Healthcare Associates in 2014.
