Account and Traffic Coordinator

Our healthcare marketing and branding firm in downtown Kansas City is seeking an Account and Traffic Coordinator. This position is responsible for day-to-day coordination and traffic management of highly integrated marketing projects for our clients and our firm.

Success in this position requires proactive collaboration with creative, digital, content, media, production and account services personnel to support, manage and accelerate multiple concurrent projects. It also requires exceptional strengths in critical thinking, project management capabilities, written and verbal communication, and attention to detail. The right candidate will also show an enthusiastically positive attitude for making sure work is error-free, on time and on budget.

This position reports to the Vice President of Client Services. Primary areas of responsibility include:

Account Coordination

  • Support and coordinate project work with the goal of completing milestones and deliverables on time, on strategy, and within budget and scope
  • Support multiple complex and highly integrated (traditional and digital) marketing projects
  • Manage multiple jobs and reporting to ensure client deliverables are met consistently on time and on budget
  • Take initiative in learning/understanding each client’s products and services, culture/ethos and brand strategy
  • Coordinate and deliver digital marketing tactics (organic and paid digital media, email campaigns, web development projects, etc.)
  • Maintain client and agency production and media/creative calendars
  • Provide project and administrative support to senior leadership as needed

Traffic Coordination

  • Assist company departments in coordinating workflow and workload to efficiently meet the requests of clients
  • Create schedules and set deadlines to make sure creative assignments are distributed appropriately between content and design personnel
  • Work with leadership to determine action plans for managing work volume
  • Constantly monitor the tactical production process and make adjustments to traffic as needed to optimize productivity, while maintaining top quality execution
  • Coordinate with media staff and account services to maintain media schedules and manage the approval and delivery of all media tactics (digital, traditional, etc.)

  • Future focused: has a firm understanding of digital opportunities, including experience in email marketing and web platforms (WordPress)

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in communication, marketing or business
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a corporate marketing environment, hospital marketing department, advertising agency; healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Results-oriented, strategic and creative thinker, team player, problem-solver, self-motivated to learn, grow and engage
  • Shows evidence of accuracy and attention to detail (through past work samples or similar projects)
